Anna Karpova - Project co-worker
Anna Karpova is from Nikel in Northern Russia (Murmansk region) and lives in Hammerfest. She studied at The County’s Culture and Education School in Pskov and the National Culture University named after N. K. Krupskaya in Leningrad.
Anna teaches Classical Ballet in the Vaganova system. For years Anna was Head of Dance at the dance school in Nikel and amateur dance ensemble Unison, as well as Director of ‘Show-ballet’. When she came to Norway in 1998 she taught dance at Hammerfest Culture School and was Director of previous amateur dance ensemble ‘Finnmark’. Over the years she has choreographed numerous pieces for amateurs as well as professionals. Through Stellaris DansTeater projects Anna has choreographed pieces like ‘Barina’, ‘Pas de Trois’, and ‘Årstider’ (The Seasons). Her choreography ‘Russland’ (Russia) was incorporated into several Stellaris DansTeater projects.
She represents Russia/Norway in the Barents DanceCouncil, and in 2007 she won Kulturprisen (culture award) from Hammerfest kommune..
Anna dances in 'Dunongen og Tempusegget'
. Anna will be celebrating and working behind the scenes during the Anniversary Weekend.
She will be managing the production of the gala performance ‘Treffpunkt Nord’ (Meeting Point North) as well as dancing in the family performance Ocean Antics,
which also goes on tour later in 2015.
In 2016 she celebrates 35 years as dance artist.
