A tension-filled battle emerges when humans search for profit and threaten the existence of the sea. It’s a stand off between nature and capitalism viewed through a visual universe inspired by mythology, ocean life and those who make their living from the sea.

The performance premiered in 2014, and has been performed in Northern-Norway and Russia. Read more here.

Our new film "Bird" premieres 13 October 2018 in Hamilton, NZ. The creative team has been collaborating together on making this film since 2015, travelling between the arctic landscape of Norway´s Finnmark and the warm embrace of Waikato in Aotearoa, filming on our journeys.

What happens when you are forced to leave your home, your family and your country because of war?

”Tomorrow´s Witnesses” is a collaboration between LAVA-Dansproduktion and Stellaris DansTeater. The performance bridges the stories from World War II to the present, from the forced evacuation of Finnmark to the stories of todays refugees.

The goal of the project “Lifelong Dance Practice: Project 45+” is for dance artists that have passed the age of 45 to meet and collaborate continuously. This includes workshops, performances, continuing education, sharing experiences, discussions of a range of current issues and to identify resources that are available for dance artists that are becoming seniors.
