Digital Signs

~ a documentary piece by Solveig Leinan-Hermo ~

In 2015 we celebrate Solveig Leinan-Hermo’s 40th jubilee as a dance artist and Stellaris DansTeater’s 35 years. ‘Digital Signs’ shows excerpts from some of our performances over many productive years. The exhibition is retrospective, lives in the moment and gazes into the future.

The jubilee exhibition 'Digital Signs' is open at VERK in Hammerfest 03 - 08.11 with excerpts from historical digitalised material. Opening times: 1 - 8 p.m.

We exhibit photos from Solveig’s choreographies ‘Når tiden ennå er en våken drøm’ (When time is still an awake dream), ‘Geidosis’, ‘Villskudd’ (Wild Shot), ‘Dær Fastlandet Flyt’ (Where the Mainland Floats), ‘I Hengende Snøre’ (By a Hanging Thread), ‘Whispers - by The Pearly Gates’ and ‘Tangsprell’ (Ocean Antics). Programmes from selected productions will also be exhibited for more information. You will also find photos from when Solveig and Marie visited Findus, when the fishing factory was being demolished, and where Arctic Culture Centre later was built.

The films shown are ‘Isblomsten’ (Ice flower) and ‘Whispers - by The Pearly Gates’

We also exhibit excerpts from digitalised material from ‘Godt at Gråmåsen song’ (Fortunately the Seagulls sang), ‘Geidosis/Rissninger' (Geidosis/Carvings) and ‘Radas Avadat’, ‘Bare et Rykte’ (Only a Rumour), ‘Åpen Zone’ (Open Zone) and ‘Fyr og Flamme’ (Fire and Flame), as well as a film gallery of productions.

An information gallery which showcases excerpts from Solveig's career and network activity is open at Hammerfest Library 03.11 - 27.11

Jubilee Exhibitions


Documentary and historical material collected put together in an exhibition. The exhibition will consist of film / DVD, photos, costumes, etc. where the dance moves in and between the props, scenic elements, etc. The jubilee exhibitions were shown during the Anniversary Weekend in Hammerfest 4 to 7 September 2015 at three different venues:

Exhibition at Dansens Hus


Dance Information Norway has in collaboration with Dansens Hus, Oslo, created an exhibition of Leinan-Hermo’s and Stellaris’ history. 40 years of experimentation, storytelling, new performances, new artists and exciting networking. The exhibition was shown the 16th of April - 25th of May at Dansens Hus in Oslo. The exhibition is a part of Digital Signs as a gift to our jubilee from Dance Information Norway.
