  • Arctic Culture Centre

    Arctic Culture Centre (ACC) will inspire a free, diverse, innovative and experimental artistic and cultural expression in the north. ACC will be a diverse centre with permanent establishments and fixed tenants. ACC will provide premises for voluntary and unorganised cultural activities. The centre will also host professional art, like theatre, concerts, other entertainment, lectures, exhibitions, meetings, seminars, conferences.   • Barents DanceCouncil

    Barents DanceCouncil (BDC) is a collaboration project that connects professional dance artists and culture workers across the boarders of the north, in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Russia. BDC was established by dance artists that saw a need for contact between artists across the national boarders. The council was founded in 2001, and builds on collaboration started up in Sweden in 1993 under Barents Danssamarbetet (Barents Dance collaboration). Since then the network has grown, and the tasks and work has developed. www.barentsdance.com
  • Beaivváš Sámi Našunálateáhter

    Beaivváš Sámi Našunálateáhter is the National Theatre of the indigenous Sami people of Norway. They strengthen the Sami art, culture and identity, and is known for emphasising both the visual and musical expression in their performances. In recent years Beaivváš has researched and developed Sami contemporary art. Solveig Leinan-Hermo first collaborated with Beaivváš in 1988 on En tone i uendelighetens favn / Luohti gomuvuoda salas with Mari Boine. In 2010 they collaborated on Våre Vidder. www.beaivvas.no

    Dans i Nord is Norrbotten county’s resource and development centre for dance. Dans i Nord produces / hosts / conveys performances, events, residencies, seminars, workshops, creative projects, etc. Regular activities is combined with commissions from official administrative bodies, governments, nonprofit organisation and private companies. Dans i Nord's goal is to increase opportunities for the northern region's inhabitants to practice dance, take part in dance, as well as train, educate and be professionally active within dance. Contact them when you want to arrange dance, watch dance on stage, present dance for a young audience, practice dance itself and to further develop yourself as a professional artist and receive support, tips or advice.     dansdesign was established in 1978 and is based in Oslo. dansdesign is led by dancers and choreographers Anne Grete Eriksen and Leif Hernes. They have created a series of feature-length choreographic works together, both self-initiated works and commissioned works which are characterised as being innovative and visual daring with use of , multimedia. Solveig Leinan-Hermo has worked with them since 1975 and has danced in productions like Cosmic Joke, Tempus Fugit, Easy to Love and Dance to be murdered by. www.dansdesign.com
  • Dansearena nord

    Dansearena nord is a resource centre for professional dance. Their focus is mainly on Nordland, Troms and Finnmark counties, but they collaborate both nationally and internationally through partnerships and co-productions with other similar organisations and independent groups in dance. Dansearena nords main mission is to be an important infrastructure for professional dance in Northern Norway. They co-produce performances by regional artists in addition to offering Artist in Residence for companies nationally and abroad. In addition to produce and promote dance as an art form in their own region, they work together with international partners to ensure further opportunities for promotion and education of artists associated with Dansearena nord . Dansearena nord was previously administered within the activities of Stellaris DansTeater, under the name of North-Norwegian regional Dance stage.   • DanseFestival Barents

    DanseFestival Barents is an annual festival, located in Hammerfest. DanseFestival Barents is the northernmost dance festival, which presents performances with an emphasis on dance, art and culture from the Barents region, contributing to education through courses, seminars and workshops, and facilitate activities with children and youth as a target group. The festival is a meeting place for dance artists in the Barents region especially, but also for all others from near and far. DanseFestival Barents was initiated by Solveig Leinan-Hermo / Stellaris DansTeater, and was previously administered within the activities of Stellaris DansTeater.   • Den kulturelle skolesekken

    Målene med Den kulturelle skolesekken er å medvirke til at elever i grunnskolen får et profesjonelt kulturtilbud. De legger til rette for at elever i grunnskolen skal få tilgang til, gjøre seg kjent med og få utviklet forståelse til kunst- og kulturuttrykk av alle slag, og å medvirke til å utvikle en helhetlig innlemmelse av kunstneriske og kulturelle uttrykk i realiseringen av skolens læringsmål. Den kulturelle skolesekken har bl.a. sent Dunongen og Tempusegget og Steg for Steg på turne i samarbeid med Stellaris DansTeater. Solveig Leinan-Hermo har stilt opp med innslag i forbindelse med konferanse om Den kulturelle skolesekken og i programråd. www.denkulturelleskolesekken.no
  • Drushba - Arkangelsk

    The choreographic ensemble Drusba was founded by Ludmila Pavlovna Emelianov in January 1964, who was the director of Drusba for more than 20 years. Svetlana Victorovna Korepanova, student of Ludmila, was appointed director of Drusba in 1983. Since then, the ensemble has grown. Today there are more than 250 boys and girls, ages 5-20 years old in the ensemble. Drusba takes part in events in the Arkhangelsk region, and travel a lot as a representative of the Arkhangelsk region in Russia and abroad. Drusba takes part in the Barents DanceCouncil.

    Flow Productions is a dance production company founded in Oulu, Finland, in 2006. The company produces the work of two renowned choreographers, Maria Littow and Pirjo Yli-Manula, and offers production services for other artists, productions and various projects.   • Hålogaland Teater

    Hålogaland Teater is Northern Norway's first professional theatre and the regional theatre of Troms and Finnmark. They focus their local association, and Northern Norwegian dialect characterise all their theatre performances. Alongside the great classics Hålogaland Teater focus on new Norwegian drama and theatre for children and youth. Hålogaland Teater has collaborated with Stellaris DansTeater on the performances Mandelbrødet and Mor Courage (1994). Solveig Leinan-Hermo was hired as choreographer for the performance Hexene. www.ht.tr.no
  • JoJo - Oulu Dance Centre

    JoJo – Oulu Dance Centre is a dynamic professional production centre in Northern Finland. They offer a versatile international programme of dance performances. Their main focus is on contemporary dance and contemporary fusions of other forms of dance. The annual programme includes the OuDance Festival in September. JoJo serves professional dance artists as a production centre and guest theatre, and offers international residency exchange programmes. JoJo is one of the four member organisations of the Regional Dance Centre in Northern Finland. The activities of JoJo – Oulu Dance Centre are funded by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture and the City of Oulu. JoJo takes part in the Barents DanceCouncil. www.jojo.fi

  • Scene Finnmark

    Scene Finnmark (established in 2010) is a department under Finnmark County Council, and an expansion of the former Musikk inFinnmark (established in 1994). Scene Finnmark consists of regional musicians through the regional musician program in Northern Norway, the Sami music institution Sápmi Music, Youth programme Ung Artist and The Cultural Rucksack. In addition to developing its own productions Scene Finnmark is a centre for development and collaboration between cultural operators in Finnmark, and work to secure and further develop expertise in production, touring and local organisers in Finnmark, as well as being a supporter and collaborator for the rest of the cultural life in the county. Solveig Leinan-Hermo has done several collaborations over the years, among them DDB - Dance, Drum and Bass and Veslefrikk med saxene. www.scenefinnmark.no

    Nordland Teater was established in 1979 as a regional theatre for Nordland county and is the county's leading theatre institution based in a new theatre building in Mo i Rana. They produce both big stage performances, small intimate performances, outreach programmes and school performances. The theatre also produces Vinterlysfestivalen, a theatre festival with arts from Norway and abroad, each year in February.   • Olga Zitluhina Dance Company

    Olga Zitluhina Dance Company was founded in 1996 by artistic director and choreographer Olga Zitluhina and was the first contemporary dance company in Latvia. During the celebration of Stellaris DansTeater’s 30th anniversary and Solveig Leinan-Hermo’s 35 anniversary Solveig invited Olga Zitluhina and her dancers to Hammerfest, where Olga Zitluhina Dance Company and Stellaris DansTeater started a planned a multi-year collaboration. Olga Zitluhina choreographed a full-length performance, It will be will be, and showed the choreography Two and One Hug during the anniversary performance Rute 9600. Dancers from Olga Zitluhina Dance Company also danced in newly developed choreographies by Solveig Leinan-Hermo.

    Rikskonsertene delivers live music of high artistic quality and help ensure that everyone in the country to experience the music. They believe that music creates experiences, recognition, belonging and communication. Rikskonsertene often collaborates with productions in collaboration with other art forms. Dance has been included in productions where both dance and music complement each other. Solveig Leinan-Hermo has toured for Rikskonsertene since 1975. www.rikskonsertene.no

    Riksteateret exists so the audience in the country can experience the very best of Norwegian theatre and dance. Riksteatret has extensive experience as the largest touring theatre in the country, and celebrated their 60th anniversary in 2009 . Each year the theatre sends out 12 to 14 nationwide concert tours to all the counties and plays 400-500 performances for about 150,000 people. Riksteatret is a state theatre owned by the Ministry of Culture. In the International Dance Year 1993 Solveig Leinan-Hermo and her choreography Rissniger (Carvings) was on the tour bus that went across the country. www.riksteatret.no

    Samovarteateret has since 1990 presented Norwegian contemporary literature and history on stage, for children, youth and adults. By adopting various art forms, investigating the intersections between text, movement, music and space, they conveythe various stories. Samovarteateret / Bente S.     Stellaris DansTeater has a friendship agreement with Voshod Culture Palace in Nikel. Voshod Culture Palace also takes part in the Barents DanceCouncil.
  • Waikato Contemporary Dance Projects Trust

    Waikato Contemporary Dance Projects Trust (WCDPT) works to advance education and benefit the community through participation in contemporary dance and related practices in the Waikato region. In particular, the Trust aims to increase the accessibility of dance in the Waikato region; to offer regular dance classes, workshops and performance events; to foster and support local contemporary dance artists of any age; to promote dance as a means to physical activity and wellbeing; to utilise dance as a vehicle for raising awareness about social and environmental issues; to pay operational and administrative expenses of the Trust and its projects; and to be an umbrella organisation to source funding for dance projects developed in the Waikato.
